We are indeed living in a new age: Sporting KC’s Dom Dwyer was issued a yellow card during Sunday’s MLS home match for snapping a selfie after scoring a goal.
The selfie and an accompanying Vine video were indeed viral hits. Dwyer scored in the 33rd minute, and the crowd certainly loved it when he went to the stands to take a shot:

As it was posted to the team’s Twitter account, it would appear the selfie was sanctioned by the team. Still, pretty cool.
