Orlando City SC Closing Out Camping World Stadium Era

Orlando City SC / Citrus Bowl

Orlando City SC is about to close out its run at Camping World Stadium, and is doing so in unique fashion. The final game, which will take place on October 23 agains the D.C. United, is being designated as a Throwback Game

“We are nearing our final moments at Camping World Stadium, a place where we launched our Major League Soccer season as well as celebrated numerous United Soccer League championships,” said Orlando City SC President and Founder Phil Rawlins. “We invite our fans to come and relive the great milestones and memories we have built in this stadium together before launching a new era in our permanent home.”

The Throwback game will feature a “where we came from” theme with special content dating back to our beginnings in Central Florida, including USL championship performances and most memorable goals from two seasons in MLS. Legendary Orlando City players and members of the Orlando City Alumni Association will be recognized during the night.

Additionally, Orlando City will revive the I-4 Derby and host the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Seminole Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. Former Lions and current OCB coaches Anthony Pulis and Rob Valentino will take the pitch in purple once more, along with Erik Ustruck and other notable alumni from both clubs.
