Indy Eleven off to strong start at box office

Though the team has struggled on the field, Indy Eleven got off to a roaring start at the box office, selling out the team’s first four matches.

From the Indianapolis Star:

The Indy Eleven have announced they have surpassed 10,000 tickets sold for Saturday’s game against Ottawa Fury FC at IUPUI’s Carroll Stadium. An official sellout is 10,285, so they are almost there.

That would make the Eleven 4-for-4 in home sellouts. With an average home attendance of 10,582 so far (they added extra seats for the opener), the Eleven are trying to become only the second team in modern NASL history to average more than 10,000 for the season.

Pretty impressive. Indy Eleven is the only NASL team to average more than 10,000 fans per game.
