We have another USL attendance record in the books, as a crowd of 27,142 fans at Nippert Stadium helped FC Cincinnati set a season mark totaling 352,709 fans, with three home matches left in the season.
The previous mark, 339,567, was set last season by FC Cincinnati.
If FC Cincinnati were playing in MLS this season, they’d be fourth in per-game average at 25,194 fans per game, behind Seattle and ahead of Toronto.
It would not be an impossible record to break, however, as there may be another situation in the future where a team plays at the USL level in a pro-football or college-football facility before rising to MLS.
