Orlando City Sells Out Season Tickets

Orlando City SC stadium -- July 31, 2015

Orlando City SC has achieved a major milestone, as it has sold its season ticket packages for the 2017 season.

That campaign will be the team’s first at its new downtown stadium, which will seat 25,000 fans. Of those 25,000 seats, 18,000 have been sold via season tickets.

City’s custom built, soccer-specific stadium will open its doors in 2017 and will house 25,500 raucous purple-clad fans for the Lions third season in MLS and the Orlando Pride’s second season in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

“This should be an incredibly gratifying accomplishment for our fans because it means they have set a tone for a sold out crowd for every MLS match. That’s guaranteed energy and guaranteed elevated noise levels for every match,” said Orlando City Founder and President Phil Rawlins. “Our fans, partners and teams can be proud of this milestone as we continue to get closer to finalizing stadium construction.”

In 2015, Orlando City defied expectations in its introduction to MLS with over 60,000 fans in attendance at the then-Orlando Citrus Bowl and set the league’s single-season attendance record for expansion teams. This season, with another 60,000 at the home opener, the Lions rank second in MLS average attendance with approximately 32,000 fans per game.

The Club’s new stadium has been built with the fans in mind, designed to create the optimal environment and experience for supporters. The North end of the stadium, known as “The Wall”, will house North America’s only full safe-standing supporters’ section after overwhelming requests from the fans.

In addition, the stadium will be enveloped with canopy coverings that will not only protect fans from the elements, but will trap crowd noise to create one of the league’s toughest venues to visit.

The stadium’s natural grass field will sit eight feet below street level, allowing for spectacular views at any seat. In addition to the Audi Sport Club, a shared suite experience, the venue will also boast club sections on the East and West sides of the field with amenities including complimentary food and beverages, and private seating locations.

With individual season tickets sold out, the only way to ensure a ticket to every 2017 City home game is by purchasing a suite or by becoming an Audi Sport Club member. More ticketing information can be found here.
